Outer Banks premiered in April 2020, and fans instantly became obsessed with the Poguesâ hunt for treasure. When the cast returned to the set to shoot season 2, which was released in July 2021, they had grown even closer than before. Fans have come to love the show â which is set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, naturally â for its very attractive characters, its soap opera-level drama, and its fierce friendships shown on screen. It turns out, however, there’s so much more to the teen drama than just what you see in the final product.
