The Brady Street Festival will of course be back for another year of music, food, drinks and more as far as the eye can see — or at least from Van Buren Street to Farwell Avenue. Now, we know who will take the stage during the daylong event Saturday, July 20.
Scheduled to appear as headliners this year are Social Cig on the Bud Light Stage at 9 p.m., Wonderful Bluffer on the North Shore Bank Stage at 9:30 p.m., and the Brady Street Babes drag show on the Don Julio and Bacardi Stage at 9:30 p.m.
That covers the last couple hours at the festival, but there’s plenty more on tap as soon as the event gets underway at noon that day. Right off the bat, you can center yourself while enjoying the company of canines at Dog Yoga near the North Shore Bank Stage or catch School of Rock at the East Stage. New this year is the Bee the Change Project kids’ pollinator parade, a residency program from Cass Street School and St. Rita Square that will get things rolling at the Don Julio and Bacardi Stage, with True Skool following right after. The Adventure Rock climbing wall will also be yours to scale as part of the Fun Zone, presented by Gruber Law Offices.
As the day moves along, you’ll have a chance to catch genres of all types at the three stages. Among the musical options are:

- Hispanic-tinged country from Alyssia Dominguez
- Indie-soul artist Ben Mulwana
- The modern folk of Valley Fox
- Alt-rock from Louie and The Flashbombs
- Alt-country from Ladybird
- Local indie artist Lunde
- Folk and Americana from Billy Bronsted
- Hip-hop artist Emmitt James
- The honky-tonk and rock of Wire & Nail
- Jinksie’s old-school punk
- Hip-hop from Wave Chapelle
- Modern Joey’s jam-band vibes
- Nashville-based indie trio The Love-In
Then of course there’s the all-local lineup of food and retail/service providers to choose from, plus plenty of beverages on hand.
“This year’s event is shaping up to be our best yet with an amazing roster of bands and activities that will appeal to music lovers of all ages,” Brady Street Business Improvement District executive director Michael Sander said. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Brady Street for a day of celebration and community.”
