‘Inside Out 2’, with raving audience reviews and critical acclaim, has become the fastest animated film to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office. The film has been in theatres for over three weeks and has managed to hold onto the top spot, despite competition from ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die.’ ‘Inside Out 2’ has earned a whopping $57.4 million domestically in the third weekend and is expected to break more records before the release of ‘Despicable Me 4.’ It is set to surpass ‘Incredibles 2’ as the highest-grossing animated film in North America and is on track to exceed the lifetime earnings of ‘The Super Mario Bros.’ So far, the film has made $469.3 million in the last three weeks, domestically and a total of $545 million at the international Box Office.
