Rooftop celebration

Tickets are on sale for the LSU Museum of Art’s 4th of July Rooftop Celebration with dinner provided by Tsunami, set for 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 4 on the roof of the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St.

‘Diva Sisters’

Dueling Pianos

Tickets are on sale for The 121’s Dueling Pianos from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. July 13, at The 121, 121 Convention St. This event showcases the talented performance of 88 Reasons Why, a group founded by dueling piano players who are innovators of the concept. Listen as these two pianists go head-to-head, taking your song requests and turning them into melodies that will have you singing and dancing all night long.

‘Beauty and the Beast’

Tickets are on sale for Ascension Community Theatre’s summer musical production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” opening July 11 at the theater, 823 N. Felicity Ave., Gonzales.

Art Guild exhibit

The Art Guild of Louisiana’s “Workshop Show” runs through Sept. 12 at Independence Park Theatre, 7800 Independence Park Blvd.

Theatre summer camp

Registration is open for Theatre Baton Rouge’s summer theater camps at the theater, 7155 Florida Blvd. Play Production Camp is for students in sixth through 12th grades and will run July 8-19, and Youth Musical Theatre Camp for students in first through fifth grades runs July 23-Aug. 12.

‘Catfish Moon’ tickets

‘Landscape’ by Sandra Lanclos will be featured in the exhibit, ‘Sandra Lanclos — Repurposed: Transforming Everyday into Extraordinary,’ opening Aug. 1 at NUNU Arts & Culture Collective in Arnaudville.




Several upcoming events are planned at NUNU Arts & Culture Collective, 1510 Courtableau Highway, Arnaudville.

The exhibit, “Sandra Lanclos — Repurposed: Transforming Everyday into Extraordinary,” opens Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 31 with a reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 9. Sales of this artwork will benefit youth art programming and St Leo’s Church in Leonville.

The collective will host a pre-exhibition workshop, “Creative Framing: Using Recycled & Upcycled Materials,” set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9. Also, the Young at HeArt Program workshops are set for Aug. 3-31.

Meanwhile, the collective’s ongoing sessions are:

  • Open Painting Studio, 10 a.m. to noon Mondays.
  • Life Drawing, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.
