Manhattan band to rock entertainment district Thursday in Bridge Street LIVE finale

Bridge Street LIVE wraps up Thursday with fan-favorite Manhattan taking the stage in the Bridge Street Entertainment District.

In addition to live music from the band whose members split the Ohio and Pennsylvania border, artist Diana Garrison will conduct a free public workshop on botanical printing at 6 p.m.

The workshop “will show how botanical printing uses real plant materials (leaves, flowers, etc.) to create shapes and textures in wet paint as layers are built up onto paper to create one-of-a-kind monoprints,” a news release from Visit Hot Springs said.

The concert kicks off at 7 p.m. for a band that has made several appearances in the Spa City. Manhattan features “talented vocalists and (a) phenomenal horn section” that is “guaranteed to have the fans dancing to all their favorite pop dance hits ranging from Bruno Mars to Journey,” the release said, noting the event wraps up at 10 p.m.

The entertainment district opens at 5 p.m. Thursday with music by DJ Courier with Garrison’s workshop lasting from 6-7 p.m.

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, and leashed pets are welcome. Coolers are not allowed, the release said.

Last week’s Bridge Street LIVE drew a crowd of 2,013, according to counts taken at either end of the Bridge Street Entertainment District by Visit Hot Springs. The first week saw the highest attendance with 2,033.
