The country star filed for divorce from Firerose after eight months of marriage, alleging she lied about her identity. Cyrus claims the singer lied about her maiden name, “Hodges,” and that she had never been married before. The ‘Achy Break Heart’ singer’s legal team obtained a 2015 divorce judgment that reveals Hodges was her ex-husband’s last name. Upon finding this out, the 62-year-old began seeking an annulment to his marriage, alleging Firerose of “knowingly” committing fraud. Firerose then filed for divorce weeks after Cryus, accusing him of âextreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse.â The 36-year-old claims that her estranged husband made his filing a day before she was due to undergo a preventative double mastectomy.
